My School has an established Inclusive Learning programme for children with additional developmental and educational needs. Our approach brings together Montessori learning, individual planning, specialist support and ongoing communication with families.
Each child begins with an initial assessment so the team can understand strengths, needs and priorities. Teachers create an individual programme and review progress through regular Individualized Education Programme meetings and parent-teacher discussions.
Our Inclusive Learning team includes university-qualified teachers and occupational therapists. Depending on the child's needs, support may address sensory-motor development, visual information processing, cognitive skills, speech, language and communication.
Children with additional needs are part of the wider My School community. The Montessori environment offers practical, hands-on ways to learn, while shared activities help create a community in which differences are understood and respected.
Every child's profile is different. The right starting point is a private conversation with the school about your child's needs and whether the environment and programme are appropriate.
